The Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, invites applications for appointment as Presiding Officer in Debts Recovery Tribunals across India, covering 20 listed current and anticipated positions. Eligible applicants must be serving or former District Judges or members of the Indian Legal Service in Grade I or above. The position is a fixed-tenure statutory appointment, with remuneration governed by the applicable Tribunal service rules. Applications in the prescribed format must reach the Department through the proper channel, wherever applicable, by 9 November 2026 at 5:00 PM. Must be, or have been, a District Judge, or a member of the Indian Legal Service in Grade I or above. General LL.B. graduates and practising advocates without the specified judicial/service experience are not eligible solely on the basis of their degree or practice.
