MentorCode is built by lawyers who understand what privacy means. This policy tells you exactly what data we collect, why, and how we protect it — in plain language.
MentorCode (mentorcode.in) is operated by FJZ Educational Services Private Limited — the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. This Policy governs how we collect, use, and protect the personal data of every person who registers, subscribes, purchases, or otherwise uses the platform. By using MentorCode, you agree to the terms of this Policy.
Every PDF available for download on MentorCode — books, compilations, and personalised mentorship materials — is automatically watermarked with your registered name, email address, and a unique download token on every page at the moment of download. This process is automatic, cannot be disabled, and constitutes a necessary use of your personal data for intellectual property protection.
By downloading any file, you expressly consent to this watermarking process and accept the associated licensing terms.
All payments on MentorCode are processed by Razorpay Payment Solutions Private Limited, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway licensed in India. FJZ Educational Services Private Limited does not store, see, or have access to your card number, CVV, UPI ID, or bank credentials at any point. These are entered directly on Razorpay's encrypted interface.
We receive only a transaction reference number, payment status, amount, and payment method category from Razorpay after a completed transaction. This information is used solely to activate your access and maintain billing records. Razorpay's own privacy policy governs the payment data you provide to them.
Mentorship data — including your application details, submitted answers, personal questions, feedback records, and any uploaded writing samples — is treated with strict confidentiality. It is visible only to you (in your mentee dashboard) and the specific team member assigned to your programme. It is never shared with other users, cited publicly, or used beyond the scope of your mentorship.
Uploaded files are used exclusively for feedback and are deleted on your written request after the programme ends. Mentorship interaction data is retained for one year after your programme concludes, then deleted or anonymised. If your application is rejected, all application data is permanently deleted within 90 days.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Your data is shared only in the following limited circumstances:
We protect your data using password hashing, HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit, role-based internal access controls, and audit logs for all admin actions. In the event of a security incident likely to affect your rights, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required under the DPDPA 2023.

For material changes, we will notify all registered users by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect and display a prominent notice on the platform. Your continued use after the effective date of any revision constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with a revised policy, you may delete your account before it comes into effect.
